Homeopathic Certificate Programs

Today, homeopathic certificate programs are available to students through a variety of schools that teach natural health and alternative medicine.

The Beginning Of Homeopathic Medicine Studies

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine says that homeopathy has been practiced in the United States since the early nineteenth century. Its roots can be traced back to Germany in the 1700′s. There are many homeopathic courses available for students to choose from today. However, most training is offered through homeopathic certificate programs and diploma programs. In some states such as Arizona, Connecticut and Nevada there are laws that require you to be licensed by medical doctors to practice homeopathy. Regardless as to whether or not you have to be licensed by a medical doctor, you will still find that homeopathic certificate programs involve in-depth studies.

What Is Required From Homeopathic Classes

Homeopathic certificate programs include studies in the language and terminology that is used in this field; classical homeopathy theories and philosophies; case taking; repertory; anatomy; physiology; pathology; nutrition and other relative topics. You will also learn about natural remedies that are derived from animals, chemicals, plants and minerals. Upon the successful graduation of a homeopathic certificate program, you will have gained a lot of knowledge and training to use in your practice. This information includes knowledge of how to treat health disorders and conditions such as allergies, digestive problems, musculoskeletal disorders and many other common health ailments.

Usually this type of a program consists of a minimum of five hundred classroom-training hours. However, there are some programs that require less time because they are more of an introduction to this topic instead of being a more advanced curriculum. There are also programs that are specifically designed for medical doctors, veterinarians, nurses and other medical health care providers. These courses allow them to receive complementary medical training in this field. Upon successful completion of these programs a person would receive a primary care certificate.

Regardless as to whether you choose to learn homeopathy for your own personal reasons or because you would like to integrate the practice into your natural, dental, medical or veterinarian health care practice, earning your homeopathic certificate can help you gain an edge in the fast growing industry of alternative health care. So, if you, or someone you know, are interested in finding such a program you should explore career school programs near your home. You may be surprised to see that they offer courses in other things as well. These things may include massage therapy, acupuncture, oriental medicine and Reiki.

Learn About the Council for Homeopathic Certification

When it comes to a matter such as homeopathic certification, there are definitely a lot of issues that need to be taken into consideration. The Council for Homeopathic Certification is definitely going to be one of the best resources available to you here, and absolutely one that you are going to want to know more about if you are interested in the field of homeopathy in general.

Who Are They?

The Council for Homeopathic Certification is an organization that was formed in response to a new version for homeopathy’s future as a unified professional of highly trained and certified practitioners. They work with other exiting homeopathic organizations and companies not only in regards to training and promoting related issues but also to spreading awareness about the matter around the world.

Certification by the Council for Homeopathic Certification is truly a public statement of recognition by a practitioner’s peers of training, knowledge, and skill, and candidates for certification here must be able to fulfill the necessary requirements. This includes prerequisites that have already been firmly established by the Council for Homeopathic Certification in order to undertake a challenging written exam.

Requirements

There are a few other requirements as well that you need to take into consideration, and this includes: you must have had 500 hours of formal training or equivalent practice experience, you must have had a college level course in anatomy or physiology, and you must also have a current CPR certification.

If you do not have all of these requirements, then the Council will not be willing to certify you and you will have to go through the necessary steps until you can offer all the necessary requirements and attempt to go through with the process again.

Once you have gone through the submission process, you are required to submit specific clinical training documentation to the Council for Homeopathic Certification. Then you must qualify to submit 5 of your own cases, and it is important to realize that these must be chronic cases which show significant improvement over a time period, which is usually of about or at least six months. Then after this your case is reviewed by the Council and they will decide whether or not you are finally approved, and if so, you will be scheduled for your oral interview. It is definitely a lot of work but absolutely worth undertaking if you are interested in the field of homeopathy.
