Homeopathy – Does It Work?

In 2009, leading pharmacy Boots confessed that they didn’t believe homeopathic medicine works. However, despite this revelation and continual studies which prove that homeopathy gives the same results witnessed in placebo tests, the National Health Service still managed to spend more than four million pounds in the last 12 months developing homeopathic medicines.

Shocked by the National Health Services and Boot’s ‘no harm’ theories to homeopathy, over 300 sceptics are now planning to partake in a group homeopathic overdose to help raise public knowledge about the fact that homeopathic remedies do not work.

During this revoltwhich is set to take place on the 30th January 2010, all those actively involved in the protest will openly swallow in public an entire box of homeopathic pills to show that they are nothing more than sugar pills as well as encourage pharmacies to stop selling them

Where did Homeopathy come from?

Ask consumers and they will describe homeopathy as ‘all natural herbal medicine.’ Most of the substances found within this type of medicine is commonly accepted as complementary medicine and are believed to be so diluted that there really is nothing to them.

However further background checks into the birth of homeopathy has revealed that it is not strictly an herbal medicine, but is designed on three medical concepts discovered in the 1800′s by Samuel Hahnemann. 3 theories which are still used today:

The Law of Similars where whatever caused your illness will also cure them i.e. unable to sleep, take caffeine The Law of Infinitesimals where the more diluted the remedy is from water, the more potent it will be The Law of Succession where vigorous mixing of a homeopathic remedy would intensify its concentration Analysing this information, it is easy to understand why skeptics are requesting that the government to command the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence to assess whether it is necessary for the National Health Service to promote homeopathic remedies. Providing limited if any results, all clinical studies point to the fact that they will not help your health.

Complementary and Alternative Treatments for Earwax Blockage

Description

The ear canal is lined with glands that produce cerumen, or earwax. Together with small hair follicles, this wax works to prevent dust and other foreign particles from entering the ear. As new wax is produced, older wax normally works its way out through the ear canal and into the Outer ear. From here, it falls out of the ear during sleep or in the shower. Some people, on the other hand, produce new wax faster than the old wax leaves the ear canal, thus creating a backup of cerumen.

Signs and Symptoms

Partial hearing loss

Ringing in the ear

A feeling of fullness in the ear

Earache

Conventional Medical Treatment

Wax blockage can usually be treated with home care. A few drops of over-the-counter wax softener can be dropped into the ear canal two or three times a day. After two or three days, the wax will begin to soften, allowing it to move out of the ear canal. If home care doesn’t work, visit your doctor, who may gently scoop away the wax with a curette or use a suction device to vacuum away the wax.

Complementary and Alternative Treatments

Ayurvedic Medicine

To remove a buildup of stubborn wax, Ayurvedic practitioners may suggest a two-step process: First, soften the wax by placing a few drops of warm garlic oil in the ear. Then, after several hours, flush the ear with warm water or a solution of vinegar and lukewarm water.

Homeopathy

Earwax blockage may respond to homeopathic treatment. However, the seletion of a remedy-more than one is available-depends on your symptoms and the stage of the condition. Don’t try treating this disorder yourself. See a homeopathic professional.

Traditional Chinese Medicine

Chinese Herbal Therapy Asarum Sieboldi can be used to loosen and cler earwax. Simply mix the powdered herb with vinegar and roll into a tiny ball, then place the concoction inside the ear canal and let it dissolve.

Do Homeopathic Remedies Really Work? Know the Truth

The truth is…they really do work. The premise behind Homeopathic Remedies is that they treat like with like. The herbs or plants that are diluted down are safe to use for all ages and are not counter indicated for use with other medications. They are completely safe to use with animals too.

So a diluted form of a single herb or plant or a blend of herbs or plants will treat specific ailments. In my personal experience, I had a horse that contracted West Nile. West Nile in horses is typically fatal. I consulted with a homeopathic veterinarian, and his protocol of remedies saved my horses life. Prior to this experience, I would not have believed in the efficacy of Homeopathic Remedies. I truly became a believer since the alternative of using allopathic medicine did not have a good outcome. So I was willing to try anything.

Since that experience, I have been using remedies for myself, my children, horses and pets with great success. Colds are eliminated in one or two days, gastrointestinal upsets or colic’s in babies or horses, are immediately relieved. I have been using homeopathic remedies for food allergies, candida yeast infections, injuries and chronic fatigue with fantastic results.

Homeopathic Remedies are usually taken 20 minutes before or after eating or drinking so that the remedy is absorbed through the skin without any chemicals from the food inhibiting it. Remedies either come in liquid or pellet form and do not go through the digestive system like ordinary medicine. They do not mask symptoms or suppress the symptoms like allopathic medicine. They actually have the ability to assist the body in healing itself.

Homeopathy is no longer on the fringe of alternative medicine and is an equal to conventional medicine. Homeopathy is highly used and recognized in England, France, Germany, and India among other countries. In the U.S. alone, this type of treatment has been practiced for 170 years.

Scientific understanding has increased the knowledge of how Homeopathic Treatments work. The same methods used by Samuel Hahnemann (born in Germany 1755) on “proving” plants and herbs to be homeopathic medicines, hold true today.

Studies have proven that homeopathic remedies carry a vibration with them.

I will use the example of magnetism. A north pole magnet repels another north pole magnet because they have the same vibration. So a homeopathic medicine will repel an illness that has the same vibration in the body. Once the imbalance is put back into balance by repelling the illness, the body can heal itself. Over 1,000 M.D.’s and Naturopath Doctor’s specialize in homeopathy. Many other health professionals use homeopathy in their practice.
