Homeopathic Treatment For Acnes

Acne and Acne scars are the most common problems found among the people of almost all ages. Although teenagers face eruptions of acne more frequently and consistently, people in their middle and old ages too, are prone to allergies and skin eruptions of all kind. Thus, age of a person hardly matters when it comes to skin eruptions, acne and acne scars.

Acne is the commonest of all kind of skin allergies and it is quite recurring, which influences people to take up natural herbal remedy to cure them.

With the advancement of medical science, a large number of conventional medicines are available in the market these days, but they again have their own side effects. In some cases, these conventional medicines worsen the problem rather than curing it. As such, more and more people are turning to the safer and natural options of homeopathy for the purpose of treating themselves.

People's inclination towards homeopathic acne solutions is gradually gaining popularity. Homeopathic treatment, as far as acne and acne scars are concerned, has variable success rate but what makes this holistic treatment all the more popular is, there are negligible or no side effects. But, it must however be noted that homeopathic treatment is a time consuming treatment and it does not reap instant results, unlike the typical conventional type of medicines. The advantage of homeopathy treatment is that, while addressing even a minute problem like acne, it takes into consideration all the aspects of that particular problem and tries to treat the problem from the very base so as to root out the problem from its very source.

It is for this very purpose that some people seem quite confused and feel irritated when they visit a homeopath for treating their acne problems, and find the practitioner asking quite irrelevant questions which are in no way connected to acnes. But it needs to be noted that the role of an experienced homeopath is to analyze the full case history of the patient, note down and understand the details of his symptoms and then select the remedy that is the fittest to treat the particular case. The common components of homeopathic medicines are calendula, hepar sulfur, graphite, silicea, and sulphur.

It is true that homeopathy treatments do not have the benefit of the modern medical science studies; but it is also true that homeopathy medication have succeeded in treating and successfully reducing the typical symptoms of acne.

Common Homeopathy Remedies for Acne

One of the highly recommended homeopathic remedies for treating acne related problem is Silicea. It is believed to be a primary remedy for acnes and it works wonderfully on skin related disorders of all kind. If used appropriately, Silicea can be a powerful tool for assisting individuals and enabling them to root out the acne problems from the base.

Apart from Silicea, some of the other commonly used homeopathic remedies for treating acne and acne scars are Kali bromatum, Sileneum, Hepar Sulphur, Mizoreum and Staphysagria.

Are Homeopathy Medicines Safe

Homeopathy medicines have so far been claimed to be the safest; safer than the allopath or the synthetic medicines. It is true that these medicines hardly give rise to any side effects. Homeopaths claim that the medication is safe because the key ingredients are present in minimum quantities.

Very often we come across a rise in symptom or a particular disease with the intake of homeopathy medicine. But it must be remembered that this is the initial reaction of the medication and is a part of the remedial measures.

Precaution in Diet during the Treatment

In homeopathy, the medicine and its effects get absorbed directly by the tongue. As such, while under the homeopath's treatment, people are generally advised to avoid the intake of raw onions, anything sour, coffee, camphor and others.

The Rise Of Hompeopathy Over Conventional Medicine

You may have heard of "homeopathy" but you are not sure what it is. Simply put, it is a system of medicine that treats a condition with highly diluted natural substances that mimic the symptoms of the condition being treated. This concept seems paradoxical to most.

Homeopathy is a difficult concept to grasp. How do you cure someone of an illness by giving them a tiny concentration of something that can actually cause the disease? One would think that this would simply make the person even more sick.

But, according to proponents of the science, homeopathy not only works, but is much more effective than conventional medicine. They claim that conventional medicine only suppresses the immune system and prolongs the illness.

There are actually quite a few homeopathic products in your local pharmacy. The FDA requires that homeopathic products indicate what kind of product it is somewhere on the packaging. The easiest way to tell what kind of product you are buying is by examining the list of ingredients on the back or the on the side of the packaging.

With homeopathy, all of the ingredients are diluted, so each ingredient in such a product has the letter "X" after it. So, if one of the ingredients is "Zinc 20X", that means the product contains Zinc that has been diluted 20 times. One of the most popular cold medicines on the market, "Zicam," is actually a homeopathic remedy that consists of diluted zinc in the form of a nasal gel.

There are homeopathic remedies available for almost every condition. Cold, flu, allergy, even bedwetting; there is a homeopathic remedy available for almost every condition.

Homeopathy is universally recognized as being safe, as the ingredients used are natural substances diluted many times over. Because there is such a small concentration of the ingredients, many opponents of the science, including the drug companies that make conventional medicines and are afraid of the growing popularity of natural medicine, claim that any relief an ill person receives after using a natural product is the result of the placebo effect.

Since the FDA does not require most natural products to undergo clinical testing before being sold to the public, the detractors feel that it does not actually work. So, who is telling the truth? Does homeopathy really work or is it a bunch of nonsense?

In my opinion, it works. There have been several clinical trials done over the years to test the efficacy of homeopathic products. Liddell Laboratories makes a product called Vital HGH. Vital HGH is designed to treat the symptoms of aging and/or a rundown condition.

In a small clinical trial performed years ago, a group of test subjects who were deficient in human growth hormone, ranging in age from 45 years and up, were given the Vital HGH formulation. The results speak for themselves. During the five month clinical trial, the levels of HGH in the blood increased in every test subject, and more than doubled the average level of HGH.

Homeopathy does work. I speak from personal experience. I used such a remedy to deal with the allergy attacks I was having, and the medicine not only stopped the attacks faster than the Claritin I had been taking previously, but it also prevented subsequent allergy attacks.

So, why is there a controversy? Well, there is a public perception that homeopathy is the same thing as holistic healing or faith-based medicine. This is simply not accurate.

Homepathy and natural medicine in general make big drug manufacturers worry that such products might be more effective for treating common illnesses as opposed to the more expensive prescription versions that make the pharmaceutical companies rich. Most natural products are incredibly cheap. A prescribed conventional medicine costs a lot more.

If the public began demanding natural remedies to treat their ailments, drug companies would have to make these kinds of products to stay in business, and then their profits would shrink. Imagine if Pfizer had to stop manufacturing Viagra, which they sell at $20-$30 per pill, and instead make a homeopathic product that would retail for only $20 for a one month supply.

This is why drug companies often spend significant amounts of money to debunk claims that homeopathy works, using a wide variety of misinformation tactics to instill a belief in the public that natural medicine is is not effective for treating common ailments.

I am not saying that you should discontinue the use of conventional medicines. But, next time you go to the pharmacy, take a look at some of the natural brands on the shelf and give them a try. For common ailments that are not life threatening, a homeopathic product is probably a cheaper and more effective alternative.

Defining Naturopathy

While some of us may be aware of the term "naturopathy," not all of us completely understand the origins and foundations of this relatively unique system of integrated healthcare. Historically, naturopathic medicine was founded on many of the philosophies and teachings of Hippocrates; but the actual development of naturopathy was begun by Dr. Thomas Allinson during the late 1800's in Scotland. After that time, naturopathy expanded to various regions of the world; including North America.

Defined by the principles of the Greek philosopher Hippocrates, naturopathy is founded on the healing powers of nature, and its inherent healing abilities. Seeking to identify and treat underlying causes of dis-ease, naturopathic medicine believes in the principle of first doing no harm, and treating the whole person with respect to that person's whole being.

What exactly is naturopathy?

Both complementary and alternative medicine in nature, naturopathic medicine entails a large assortment of natural healing modalities including Ayurveda, hydrotherapy, acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional counseling and exercise therapies, homeopathy, colonic irrigation, orthomolecular medicine, energy medicine, and other healing arts.

Doctors of naturopathy focus on holistic health treatments for patients. Treating individuals as a "whole" person (including mind, body, and spirit), naturopathic medicine therapies are individually tailored to meet particular health needs. While some patients may receive acupuncture therapy, others may receive a combination of natural health treatments to remedy specific health conditions.

Though naturopathy, in itself, is typically non-invasive; some holistic health practitioners may sometimes facilitate conventional diagnostic tools such as radiology or blood tests to determine which treatment regimen is best for the patient. (Naturopathic doctors who facilitate such diagnostics have been especially trained in these procedures.)

Today, naturopathic medicine doctors (NDs) are sometimes considered primary care providers; however, these specialized physicians are cross-trained in both conventional medicine practices and natural health medicine. Presently, four Provinces in Canada, 14 States, and the District of Columbia all have specific educational and licensing requirements for doctors of naturopathy.

The Advantages of Using Homeopathic Software in Homeopathic Practice – Part II

As I have demonstrated in my previous article, the use of homeopathic software can greatly facilitate the process of finding the simillimum for the patient's state. I have compared the process of using homeopathic repertories in an electronic form (as in a homeopathic software) against the manual searching of the paper book.

Another fact that can be easily established and can play a vital part in the homeopathic practice is the financial aspect. Yeah, as idealistic as homeopathy may sound, the financial aspect is clearly present here.

The financial aspect, in my opinion, is one of the most absurd and ridiculous things about homeopathy. Using homeopathic science, we have a way of curing the suffering people basically for a price of clean water and some manual work (potentization process, that is), yet we need to spend piles of money to be able to select the suitable substance from which to prepare the remedy… In other words, you need to purchase homeopathic books to study and to base your prescriptions on. And to become sufficiently acquainted with homeopathy, you need a great number of such books.

So, let me say this clear and loud – if you want to have all those fantastic homeopathic books, it's going to cost you! If you start making a wish list of the homeopathic books you would like to have, you'll start counting thousands of dollars after just a few minutes. This is where having a good homeopathic software can help you out and save you a lot of money.

With homeopathic books, as with all other books, there is a cost of paper, printing, distribution, to name just a few. With hundreds and sometimes thousands of pages, limited target market, the price of any homeopathic book is bound to be high. In homeopathic software, there are no such costs – the text is stored as a stream of bits and bytes on a computer hard disk, which costs virtually nothing. The only costs involved are those spent on the conversion process from the paper book to an electronic book. Although such costs of converting a book to an electronic form, suitable for use in a homeopathic software, can be considerable, they are still way lower than in book publishing business. This allows the producer of homeopathic software to offer you the same books, but for a much better price. If this is not the case, then stay away from such homeopathic software, it's a clear sign they are trying to rip you off. (Unfortunately, there are some homeopathic software producers that are doing exactly this, hence the warning.)

Conclusion: while it does not eliminate the costs altogether, having the majority of the homeopathic books in your homeopathic software can reduce them considerably. Needless to say, you'll save a huge amount of space on your bookshelves!

In the next part, I'll say a few words about the type of books you want and don't want to have in a homeopathic software.

Does Homeopathic Medicine Work?

Have you ever heard of homeopathy? You probably have, but have no idea what it really is. Homeopathy is a system of medicine that treats an illness or condition with highly diluted concentrations of natural ingredients that mimic the symptoms of the condition being treated. It seems like an odd premise, but in spite of the unusual mechanism behind it, it is a very effective method for treating disease.

How do you cure someone of an illness by giving that person a tiny concentration of something that actually causes the illness? According to proponents of the science, homeopathy not only works, but works better than conventional medicine. They say that somewhere along the line the pharmaceutical industry got involved in medicine, at which point natural remedies were abandoned in favor of chemical formulations.

If you browse through your local pharmacy, you will notice that there are actually quite a few products in the Cold & Flu aisle that are homeopathic. The easiest way to to find out if a product you are interested in is homeopathic is to read the label on the back and take a look at the ingredients. In homeopathy, all of the ingredients are diluted, so each ingredient in a homeopathic product has the letter X or C after it.

So, if one of the ingredients is Zinc 20X, that means the product contains Zinc that has been diluted 20 times. One of the most popular cold medicines on the market, Zicam, is actually a homeopathic remedy that consists of nothing more than homeopathic zinc in a nasal gel. Most people that use Zicam do not even realize that it is a homeopathic product.

There are homeopathic remedies available for almost any condition you can think of. Cold, flu, allergy, even bedwetting; there is a homeopathic remedy available for almost every condition. Homeopathy is universally recognized as being safe because the ingredients are always natural substances diluted many times over.

The big drug companies claim that any relief felt from the application of a homeopathic medicine can be attributed to the placebo effect. And, because the FDA does not require homeopathic products to undergo a clinical trial before being sold to the public, the detractors feel that homeopathy is junk science. So, is homeopathy a bunch of hodgepodge, or does it really work?

In my opinion, it works. There have been several clinical trials done over the years to test the efficacy of homeopathic products. Liddell Laboratories makes a product called Vital HGH which contains homeopathic HGH.

I personally have used homeopathic remedies to treat my allergies, and not only do they work, but they seem to prevent the symptoms from returning for an extended period of time.

The main reason why big drug manufacturers try to downplay the effectiveness of homeopathic medicines is so they will not have to make them. Most homeopathic products are incredibly cheap to manufacture and the profit margins are extremely small. A prescribed conventional medicine costs a lot more.

If the public began demanding natural, homeopathic remedies for their ailments, drug companies would have to make these kinds of products to stay in business, and then their revenues would tumble and their profits would shrink.

Imagine if Pfizer had to stop manufacturing Viagra, which they sell at $20-$30 per pill, and instead make a homeopathic product that would retail for only $20 for a one month supply. That is why drug companies often spend significant money to debunk claims that homeopathy works, using misinformation tactics to instill a belief in the public that homeopathy is a sham. This simply is not true. Homeopathy works, and is much more affordable.

Conventional medicines are still necessary because sometimes homeopathy does not work for each and every individual. But, next time you go to the pharmacy, take a look at some of the homeopathic brands on the shelf and give them a whirl. For common ailments that are not life threatening, homeopathy is probably a cheaper and more effective alternative.

Homeopathic Schools: Teaching Innovative Ways to Heal

Samuel Hahnemann, known as the father of homeopathy, first coined the term, "homeopathy" in 1807. Little did he know that his theories on medical similars would still be taught in homeopathic schools centuries later.

If we track back in history, we find that conventional medicine in the 19th century incorporated barbaric and sometimes lethal healthcare treatments like blood-letting. In other words, what may be accepted as "traditional medicine" today proves to be a constantly-evolving cycle of treatment credibility. It was through Hahnemann's teachings at homeopathic schools that taught individuals that there were more efficient and often natural ways to achieving health and healing.

Since that time, homeopathic schools have been teaching a system of natural health care both here in the United States and across International borders throughout the world. In Belgium, for example, 59 percent of alternative and complementary medicine practitioners provide homeopathy* as a form of treatment; but that number could inevitably grow worldwide as public demand for alternative and complementary medicine continues to expand. (*World Health Organization - Regional Committee for the Easter Mediterranean Region)

The aim of homeopathic schools is to teach students and future practitioners the principles of "like curing like," and the "minimum dose" necessary for treatment. Because homeopathic medicine works with self-healing powers of the body to restore health and to promote wellbeing, teachers at homeopathic schools instruct students in treating individuals as a whole, and not just for specific "diseases." Primary homeopathic treatment focuses on all aspects of the healing process, including emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

Homeopathic schools vary in prerequisite requirements; however a typical educational program is comprised of up to four years of in-depth studies. In the first year, students gain a foundational course in the theories and principles of homeopathy. In addition to learning about the law of similars, students learn the science of homeopathic provings, homeopathic pharmacy, materia medica, acute and chronic case taking, Hering's Law, and more.

Year two at homeopathic schools provides hands-on training to future homeopathic practitioners. In addition to casework, advanced theories and practical applications are introduced to students at this point in time.

Years three and four at homeopathic schools are designed for individuals who are seriously pursuing a career as a homeopathic practitioner. Learning how to take cases, prescribe treatments, assess and make prognosis, and case management, among other associated studies.

Since the time of Hippocrates, a number of healthcare systems have come to the forefront with each making purported claims of how their system works the best; however, homeopathic schools may offer some of the most advanced and enlightening modes of thinking and practical health treatments to date.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in finding educational programs in homeopathy, let professional training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Explore homeopathic schools near you.

The Cutting Edge Alternative Medicine

Alternative medicine is termed as informal, supplementary, and complementary medicine. It is a lot different from conventional medical approaches and mainly prescribed instead of the regular treatments in allopathic field. The treatments, which are included in alternative medicine, are herbal medicine, homeopathy, Chinese, non-medical massage therapy, hypnosis, chelation therapy, acupuncture, tribal-traditional medicine, Christian Science, and ayurvedic.

Conventional allopathic doctors are preferred in any case of health problem for any person from their childhood. Though alternative medicine has gained popularity and gained trust by many people still confusion about its advantages and disadvantages are questioned.

However, these days there are various rigorous researches on alternative and complementary medicine are carried out and its efficiency is proved. There is a future in alternative medicine.

The usage of this type of method is done by two following methods: Combinations of both are also in use. For. E.g. In addition to the conventional prescription medicine a nice Tai massage is proved to do wonders. The second method is the alternative approaches are used instead of conventional method. i.e. alternative method alone is prescribed for any treatment.

In Alternative medicine, there are few philosophies, which are observed. They are:

Body with little therapy and medicine can heal by itself. Always a product should enhance the bodies healing capacity. Prevention is better than cure. A general check up should always be done periodically to keep a check before anything goes wrong. Bodies responding capacity to any treatment is important then the treatment itself.

Few Alternative medicine complementary medicines are:

Mind and body technique: In this therapy combination of mind and body is the key. In alternative medicine harmony between mind and body are necessary to be fit. This connection method includes in prayer, hypnosis, yoga, biofeedback, meditation, relaxation therapies, music, dance etc.

Dietary supplements and herbs: In this treatment natural products are used. Herbs and dietary supplements like ginkgo, enchinacea, ginseng, same, glucosamine sulfate, selenium are prescribed in the form of oils, tea, powder, syrup, tablet and capsule. This method is in practice for almost thousand and above years.

Healing system: it is a combination of many therapy and practice/ remedy. It has its base revolving around the presence of healing energy in the body and the power of natural products used for curing. Healing system is the base in ayurveda, homeopathy, and naturopathy. Mostly countries like India, china, pacific, Asia, and Tibet follow this method of healing therapy.

Homeopathic Remedies for Asthma

Today there are a large number of homeopathic remedies for asthma available but should only be used with the guidance of a person who has the experience and knowledge regarding homeopathic medicine and treatments.

Certainly when the right kinds of treatments are chosen a person will find that they can help to relieve the stress that they are feeling when an asthma attack occurs. However if the attack becomes much worse then that person should be seeking medical advice as soon as possible. Especially in cases where the person has a great deal of difficulty when they are breathing and their lips have gone a bluish color or it looks as if they are likely to lose consciousness.

In this article I am going to take a look at some homeopathic remedies that a person may want to consider using in order to treat their condition. But these should only be used under strict guidance from an experienced homeopathic therapist.

Carbo Vegetabilis

This particular remedy will be suggested for use by some during an asthma attack who feels weak or faint. Often they will feel as if their chest is hollow also. Plus they will often cough in such a way that they can actually begin to gag which will then make it very difficult for more air to gain access to their lungs. Also this particular homeopathic remedy will be used on those people who feel worse in the evening or after talking, eating or when they are laid down.

Chamomilla

This particular homeopathic remedy has been designed for treating sufferers who suffer with a hard, dry but irritating cough which often occurs when they become exposed to air that is moving or when they become excited or angry.

Ipecacuanha

This particular remedy is provided to those sufferers who have coughing spasms which results in them either retching or vomiting. Also it is great for treating those who find that the mucus (phlegm) collects in their breathing tubes and when they try to cough it out they find it extremely difficult to do so.

Although I have provided information with regard to what kind of homeopathic remedies for asthma that may be given to some sufferers, there are also other asthma herbal remedies.

But until the homeopathic therapist knows what kind of asthma you are suffering from, they will not be able to devise a suitable remedy for you. The best thing you can do is find a knowledgeable and experienced homeopathic therapist to treat you. You can consult your own doctor who maybe able to suggest one and then take your time and discuss with them the best course of treatment for you.

Homeopathic Remedies for Anxiety Insomnia

With such ailments as hypertension, migraine headaches, constipation, impotence, insomnia, and so on plaguing human beings, an increasing number of sufferers are now turning to alternative remedies to cure them of their illnesses. However, most authorities would claim that they have no verified therapeutic effects and may actually be dangerous if handled improperly. However, homeopathic remedies for anxiety insomnia do work and they have been proven to be effective.

Insomnia caused by stress and anxiety can be quite devastating to one's health, especially when it comes to one's well-being in everyday life. Your work performance will consistently decrease and your emotional state will be nothing less than chaotic. Being able to find homeopathic remedies for anxiety insomnia will surely bring relief in the long run without having to rely on sleeping pills that can be detrimental to both physical and mental health.

There are many forms of homeopathic remedies, but not all of them are verified cures for insomnia. However, those that do tend to do the job pretty well, so research is a crucial part of looking for a cure. With the internet, one can find out about the most effective alternative cures available.

Herbal Remedies

There are such things as herbal teas and others that can be consumed orally to calm the nerves and induce a relaxed state. Such herbs and other plants like lime blossom, hops, passiflora, camomile, valerian root, and Californian poppies can bring relief to what may seem like a hopeless case. As long as it is taken in moderation, one can be rid of insomnia along with any other illness that may be present.

Aromatherapy

Essential oils can be used to create a relaxing olfactory atmosphere, inducing relaxation and steady breathing, which can help in producing desired effects. Such essential oils as those of meadowsweet and orange blossom are excellent for such purposes.

Meditation and Other Relaxation Techniques

Practicing meditation, yoga, tai chi, and other such methods that can help relax muscles, steady breathing, and bring mental calmness can be incorporated into the treatment process to further improve one's condition and stave off harmful effects of such sleep disorders. Practicing relaxation techniques can also prevent further cases of insomnia.

Avoiding Harmful Alkoids

Alkoids such as caffeine and nicotine contribute to a person's sleep deprivation by bringing chemical and hormone levels to unbalanced proportions, contributing to insomnia. By staying away from such substances and living a healthy lifestyle, one can assure a night of quality sleep every night.

Exercise

This may be one of the most underrated remedies for insomnia, but it is one of the best. By engaging in physical activities hours before bedtime, a person can induce sleep easier as chemicals that keep a person alert that are present in the brain as stimulated by exercise go down dramatically as a person's body cools down from the stress. Temporary fatigue will set in, which signals the body to shut down for a while.

By following these methods, one can be cured of insomnia and promote good health upon continuing such practices. Without healthy habits, not only insomnia but also a myriad of other ailments can set in and disturb a person's bodily functions. Homeopathic remedies for anxiety insomnia are better than conventional methods as long as a person observes it regularly.

The Advantages of Using Homeopathic Software in Homeopathic Practice – Part V

One of the advanced practices in homeopathic software repertorization process involves the use of remedy families. By family I mean any group of homeopathic remedies sharing certain common characteristics. Examples of families would be a family of all flowering plants (named Magnoliophyta in scientific classification), family involving all mammals, or a family that consists of all alkaline metals. The basis of the common trait of the family can be diverse. For instance, you could design a family that involves all purple flowers.

In standard repertorization evaluation, homeopathic software displays the ordered list of remedies sorted by score based on remedy grades, rubric weights and other possible criteria. The evaluation by families would list various families sorted by the score achieved by its members (remedies). The exact formula how to achieve such list would be outside of scope of this article, so let me just say it is possible to design a suitable formula which a homeopathic software can use to rank the families with regards to the remedies used in the standard evaluation.

Some experienced homeopaths may be able to „see“ some of the families in the evaluation, Solanaceae family would be a classic example, as it contains some well-known remedies such as Belladonna, Hyoscyamus and Stramonium. However, considering the fact there can be hundreds and thousands of useful families, this is clearly a task for homeopathic software, not a human being.

Let's consider a patient with the symptoms matching the following rubrics (from Complete Repertory 2008):

Generalities, morning, five am., nine am., agg. (816 remedies)

Chest, inflammation, bronchial tubes, bronchitis (319 remedies)

Respiration, impeded, obstructed, oppression, from, chest, in (80 remedies)

Vertigo, rising, on, sitting, from (85 remedies)

Standard homeopathic software evaluation lists the following remedies (only first ten listed): Ferr., Puls., Rhus-t., Apoc., Acon., Lyc., Nux-v., Phos., Sang., Kalm.

The main problem is that the rubrics are quite large and all first ten remedies listed are present in all the rubrics, though in different grades. It would be useful to have some other criteria that shed some light on this case and allow further differentiation. By using Mercurius homeopathic software, the top-ranking evaluation of families looks like this:

Gentianales (Apoc., Nux-v., Spig.)

Ranunculaceae (Puls., Acon., Hell.)

The homeopathic software identified the valid families for us, thus providing us the next criterion to consider in choosing the best possible remedy. In Gentianales, there is Spigelia which does not list in top ten using standard homeopathic software evaluation, in Ranunculaceae there is Helleborus Niger. Instead of comparing remedy to remedy, we can now compare the characteristics of the whole families (as identified by the homeopathic software) and perhaps select the best matching remedy which otherwise would not list even in the top 30 remedies.

Such a prescription can be reasonably justified by matching one or two peculiar symptoms of the selected remedy and the general characteristics of the matching family.
